Hello my crafty friends!
I am so delighted you came to visit today.

If you have been following my blog you already heard and shared in my excitement of becoming part of the amazingly talented, supportive and friendly design team (Sorry couldn't shorten it)
" Hiding in My Craft Room" (HIMCR).
http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/

Today is my first post I am beyond excited and really hoping that you will participate!

The challenge for this week is "Black, Orange, Purple "

* Note that I have added all the links to the DT members on the right side of my blog, they would love to see you and get some bloggy love and in return you will be inspired I promise!!!
My project is a Canvas that I will proudly hang on my wall and will be visible to all the little glickens on Halloween night. (Click on image for larger view)

Products used:

  • Pen Sponge ( A sponge that I got from a store that held pens, I used it to make the outer part of the canvas using black acrylic paint)
  • Spellbinders, Halloween (I used these to make the fence)
  • Glitter Foam (tree and spider and words)
  • Twine (used to string pumkings)
  • Pumpkin wooden stamp
  • Liquid Embossing (used on pumpkins and ghost)
  • Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge (Ghost)
  • Halloween paper from stash (Pennants)
  • Cheese Cloth (Spider's Web)
  • White Fabric paint (used on Fence)
  • Spectrum Noir Pens/ Alcohol blending Solution (used to make background)
  • Boo Wooden Stamp (Used on background)

How to make an acetate background:

  1. Cut acetate paper the size you will need to use as your background.
  2. Choose 3 Spectrum Noir Pen colors of your choice (it will show up better if they are darker colors, I have tried the lighter colors and sadly they were barely noticeable)
  3. Scribble in sections being careful not to overlap the other color (If you do overlap just scribble on a piece of scrap paper and the color will come out of your pen)
  4. Cover as much of the acetate paper as possible
  5. Use Alcohol blending Ink on a cotton ball, sponge or Tim Holtz blending tool , dab over inked areas.Stop blending when you are happy with the result.
  6. Optional step - Stamp over background using your choice of stamp but make sure to not let the stamp slide and use StazOn Ink.
  7. Let dry
  8. Attach to project using eyelets... the Crop a Dile 11 is great for a card or canvas.

I am entering my project into "My Crafting Channel: MCC Challenge #1 - The gh'oul times! (Anything Halloween!)

Free Halloween Ghost with magic needles!

Hello my crafty friends and thank you for visiting today!

It is time for another free digital!

I designed this really cute Ghost for you , it will be free for one week so grab it!!

I was deciding on if I should write " That tickles" or " Boo-tastical" in the bubble balloon , I  decided that "Boo-tastical" was defiantly more appropriate for a card but added the other because!.....

Michael came out to check in on what I was doing , at the time I had "That tickles" showing... I can't begin to tell you the laughing he did, he was bending over and it got to the point there was no sound coming from him just shaking.... when he got his bearings a little he asked " What does that say mommy??" meanwhile hitting another fit of laughter...hahahaha  ...
We had quite the time together and every time I mentioned it after it all started again...it was like a trigger switch ..

Rather it is for your card making or your child to color,   Enjoy!!!!!
