I scored a white strip in two places and use EB1 Spectrum Noir pen to add a shadow to create the base board.

Sympathy Card - Make Your Own Background

Happy Thursday!

Today I am showing you a card I made for a friend of mine Vicky from Crafting Vicky, Her Stepmom's mom past away last week, my heart goes out to her and to all who are effected. Drop by and leave Vicky some bloggy encouragement and love AND of course all prayers are welcomed. I know how important a Step Parent/Step Grandparent can be , they are very special people to love another child as if they were their own, I consider them beautiful and brave.

I chose one of Vicky's favorite colors , the colors you would see in a sunflower, yellow.

I made my own background using:

  • White Embossing Powder from Recollections
  • Yellow and Pink ink from Designer Ink
  • Almohadilla de Tina from Marvy Matchables
  • Adirondack Alcohol Blending Solution from Tim Holtz Ranger
  • Watermark Resist from Inkssentials Ranger
  • Wooden and clear "background" stamps from stash

How to acheive this effect:
First stamp your image using a clear medium ( I used Watermark resist from Inkssentials Ranger)
Add white embossing powder and heat emboss
Next choose what color ink you want and cover over areas of the embossed stamp, to add depth ink more in certain spots.
Next using alcohol blending solution on a cotton ball wipe over the embossed image to remove ink.
Repeat this step with each image you add..Voila!

I inked the flower around the edges with "Almohadilla de Tina ink" and added a ladybug button from my stash. The lines and holes were faded so I spruced the lady bug up by using my black (Noir) Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pen, it worked perfect!!!

The sentiment is from " ChatterBox" from Alley Way Stamps and the strip was created using acetate paper , alcohol pens and blending solution.

Have a great day!

Easy treat box!!

Happy Wednesday!

Would you like to know how to make the easiest treat holder ever???
These could be decorated for different occasions and would be perfect for  Birthday Party's which I plan on doing for Michael's in July, I plan to put wax paper inside and chicken fries!
I made these treat boxes to try it out and they are super quick and I found it quite easy.

I have put together a picture tutorial and it is so easy I don't even need to explain it, if you have ever done origami you will love this!!!
Just in case you can't see the measurements in the first step they are 8" by 8" and it works best with double sided paper unless you want to have a white flap.
You will have to glue it in place.

Have fun and have a super day!

Mother's Day Freebie-Bouquet And Wine

Happy Tuesday
Freebie Day!

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter!! We had a beautiful time together as we shared a quiet chicken dinner and had lots of chocolate for dessert! hehe!
The Easter Bunny was super kind to us, we now have a new family board game to add to the collection ="Life" Zap addition.. the "Zap" means you use your Ipad or tablet to download an app to use with it, in this case it is the spinning wheel.
Michael got tons of pokemon stuff and chocolate and enjoyed the Easter egg hunt immensly, I got a Michael's gift card and white cardstock , a fanciful box (great for storage!) and my favorite chocolates, Lindor and Ferrero Rocher.

From Easter to Mothers Day,
Its quite a jump I know but Easter came so fast and there was so much more I wanted to do so this time I am getting ahead!

Today I am giving away my "Bouquet And Flowers" Digital stamp.

Make Big Wishes Birthday Card

Happy Monday!
( April Fools day!)

Over the weekend I had the chance to play with my new stamps from Alley Way Stamps!! I also used one of their free digital images,  I am too late for the current challenge so lets just say I am practicing for the next one!

You can find Alley Way Stamp Challenges HERE
Alley Way Blog HERE
Alley Way Store HERE
Alley Way Freebies HERE

and here is my CAS card!

I printed this yummy cupcake out on 3 different pieces of pattern paper  and paper pierced sections. I used spectrum noir pens for the candle and the lines in the cupcake liner.
The sentiment is a mixture of Alley Way Stamps "Chatterbox" and small wooden boxed letter stamps.

I raised both the paper pierced sections and the whole cupcake unto the card... The heart is from another freebie from Alley Way Stamps..it is a piece of the butterfly!

Have a great day!

Shades of Green "So Cool"

Happy Sunday!!!!

I dropped in today to show you a card I made for "The Shades Of Green/ or Easter" Challenge over at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog!!!!

I bought Sandy's  "So Cool" frog and I adore him!!! In real life his sun glasses looks so real for I added liquid embossing , they are so shiny.

I used Spectrum Noir Pens , the colors used are:
DG1, DG2 and DG3

The ink in my printer had the buscuit so my last printing job was very blurred and almost like a watermark, I didn't want to wast the paper so I used my circle punch and cut out at least 20 one inch circles.
The paper with the Chevron  and the twine used on the button is from March's Paper Made Bakery Kit

I hope you are all having a Fabulous Easter!!!! The Easter Bunny was so good to us, he even sent me a Michael's Card... imagine!!!,  what a smart bunny he is.
I am entering this card into Challenges 4 Everybody
