A Fond Farewell from the Creative Bug Digital SnapShots Team

Well, our final challenge is complete and the winners have been announced.  There is just one last thing for us all to do and that is to say goodbye.

I asked the team members, both present and past, if they'd like to share some parting words and also share three of their favourite cards that they made using CBD images.  Here is what they had to say and share...

Suze's Thoughts:
I have been privileged to have been a member of the CBD challenge team right from the start.  I have enjoyed creating with such a variety of lovely images that I have worked with over that time.  I will miss the challenges and I thank Lisa and Naomi for including me in their team and wish them all the best.

Suze's Three Favourite Card Creations:
Suze found it rather difficult to narrow it down to just three but she finally managed, and this lovely one using Moments with Mom, is one of them.  I really love the pretty papers she used and that colour is gorgeous.  Sweet embellishments frame the card beautifully.

Here is one using North Pole Ambassador.  I just love this image.  That smile on his face puts one on mine as well.  Suze kept this card pretty monochromatic using one of her favourite digital papers.  The lace adds a really nice touch to finish off the card.

Cowbee Greetings is the star of this particular card.  That honeycomb diecut over that BEEautiful paper is just the BEE's knees!  I love the sparkle added to his wings as well.  Add a cute sentiment and an extra little embellishment and I couldn't BEE any happier about this card.

Sue's Thoughts:
Having been on the team for a very short time it is really hard for me to be saying goodbye to everyone so soon. I have really enjoyed working with the CBD images, they are all so adorable and I am going to miss them. I am also going to miss seeing everyone's wonderful projects.

Sue's Three Favourite Card Creations:
Sue made this cute card using Ginarth the Generous.  This was one of eight images that was released back during our very first challenge in March.   This is actually the card that Sue made to enter the challenge.  All the little gemstones add the perfect touch of sparkle.  I'm sure that it made someone's birthday very special.

Here is another special birthday card.  This one features Angelina FlowertinaAngelina looks great surrounded by all those pretty flowers, doesn;t she?  I like her all dressed in green as well.  It gives the card a nice spring feel.

Finally, that leaves this great card using Spookster. This card has some awesome bits of texture, especially the fibre in behind the image and the great corrugated background.  Add some Hallowe'en themed embellishments and Sue ended up with one spooktacular creation!

Two of our recent past members also found the time to add their thoughts and cards to this special post...

Vicky's Thoughts:
I consider myself incredibly lucky to have been part of the great team over at Creative Bug.   The images from Naomi were very cute and fun to color.  Lisa was the most amazing coordinator that you can have making sure all would run smoothly.  As designers we all had different styles and it made it very fun and creative as well as stress free!!!  I’m very sorry to see the store close and that chapter has finished.

Vicky's Three Favourite Card Creations:

Hee, Hee.  If you haven't already, meet Baby Benito.  He is the offspring of Bellina and Maximus MacBunny--two of CBD's beloved characters.  When the image of Baby Benito came out, Vicky created this baby announcement card and sent it off to Naomi for fun.  Vicky adores this so cute baby from her favourite rabbit couple.  I adore this rabbit family as well, along with this adorable card!  I would have loved to have seen the look on Naomi's face when she opened it.  I'm sure she treasures this card to this date.  I know that I would.

Next up, Vicky wanted to share this card she made using the sitting version of Angelina Flowertina.  Vicky really likes this sweet image as well.  I love all of the different diecuts that Vicky used on this card in addition to that pretty pink and white paper.  The sentiment that Vicky used is the perfect accompaniment to this precious image.

Finally, Vicky decided to share the card she created using Friendly Frankie.  Our Vicky has a bit of a darker side, so it is only fitting that she share a card she made using a bit scarier of an image.  Vicky said that she had a blast making this card and I can see why.  Just check out those googly eyes on Frankie and that 'Spooky Treats' sentiment.  The perfect creation to round up Vicky's favourite three.

Monica's Thoughts:
I have really enjoyed  my time on the Creative Bug Digital Snapshots Design Team. It has really given me an opportunity to make new friends while promoting some wonderful images. Naomi and Lisa have both been very generous and wonderful to work with and I have loved seeing all of Naomi's images come to life in the challenges we have hosted.

Three Favourite Card Creations:
I just love this sweet card using the Manchester Family.  It brings back the fond memories of our Mega Monkey Mania tribute when we introduced all the wonderful sock monkeys that Naomi had created.  I love how Monica made the image the focus of her card and used bright fun colours throughout.  She paired it with a cheeky sentiment that fit the card perfectly.

Next up is this precious winter themed birthday card using one of Naomi's tell tale bugs, Winter Bug.  The bug collection was one of the first Naomi created and the four images that are a part of it have always been very popular with team members, designers using images in challenges we've sponsored, and even as prizes for winners.  I like the pretty background frame that Monica used for this particular card and that great sentiment too.

Here is a card that Monica created as part of her tenure on the CBD Design Team.  Another adorable card, this time using Can't Wait which has been another favourite image of people working with CBD images.  Pretty in pink and wrapped up in a pretty bow.  The sentiment nails it as this card is totally adorable.

Well that happens to be what our DT chose to share and I thought that I'd add my own two cents as well.

My thoughts:
How on earth can I possibly sum up this experience into a couple short paragraphs?  Well, I can't.  There are just so many thoughts and feelings that I have, it would be impossible to share it all.  Suffice it to say that it has been wonderful being able to support and promote my good friend Naomi.  I only wish I could have done a better job--that way we wouldn't be saying goodbye to you all today.  I took it upon myself to become Naomi's Promotional Coordinator almost two full years ago and I never regretted that decision.  It has been a lot of hard work but it has been worth it.  Naomi has become one of my closest friends and I will treasure our time together working to put Creative Bug Digital SnapShots on the map.  Along with that, I had the best group of ladies to work with.  Thankfully, each of the above women are on at least one of the two other teams I am involved with either as owner or co-coordinator, which means that I don't have to say goodbye to them.

I also got to meet some new people along the way as I got to know some of Naomi's followers.  Some of which have become my own.  Thank you for that!

Today may be a sad day as we say our goodbye's but I have so many happy memories of my time here that the sadness will only linger momentarily.  Who knows?!  Maybe one day if the stars align, Naomi may be back in business and I right along side her.  Now of course, CBD isn't going away completely, Naomi's images will still be offered up as prizes and we will still be sponsoring anyone interested.  Besides, several of these images are so wily, they often escape from the store all on their own!  You never know where you might end up seeing one of them!

I too decided to share a few of my favourite creations that I made using Naomi's images and like Suze, I had an extremely difficult time in making my choice.  Finally however, I ended up with these...

This particular card was created with the lovable Bun Bun Binges.  Somebunny apparently has a chocolate problem!  I just love the expression on Bun Bun's face and those gigantic paws of his.  He was definitely sitting pretty on this particular card.

These two cards were actually the very first cards I ever made for Naomi using Valentine's Bear in the first one and then Venito Valentine's Dog in the second.  I had lots of fun making them for two special sisters that are my surrogate nieces.  I especially enjoyed going non-traditional with my colouring and using bright and bold colours throughout.  These two definitely bring back fond memories!

Finally, I am sharing my own Baby Benito card.  I too created a baby card.  Baby Benito is just the cutest little thing so I couldn't resist sharing my own version featuring him.
Well, it is almost that time.  I hope you have enjoyed reading our thoughts and checking out the creations that have meant the most to us during our time representing Creative Bug Digis.

So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, adieu!  Thank you so much for all your support this past two years, that I've been posting over here and of course for your interest in Naomi's adorable images.  Naomi and I felt it fitting that we share some final freebies with you all for a variety of occasions.  Enjoy!

Well, now it is definitely that time--time to bring it all to conclusion.

See you all on the flip side!   I may pop in from time to time just to see what you've been up to, share some news or even offer up a classic freebie.  You just never know when I might pop around or when Naomi might be able to stop in and share some news with you.  We thank you all for your support!  If you would ever like to come and visit me on my own personal blog, I'd love to see you there.  You can find me at:
